Appointment booking
Customers see what is actually free and book it themselves. You stop being the calendar, which for most service businesses is the single biggest time saving available.
Today's schedule
| Time | Customer | Service | Fee | Status |
|---|
This is a real working demo with sample data. Changes are not saved, so refresh to reset it.
The problem it solves
For a clinic, salon, garage, tutor or consultant, booking usually happens over WhatsApp. A customer asks if Thursday afternoon is free, you check, you reply, they ask about Friday instead, and the exchange takes six messages across two hours.
The cost is not really the messages. It is that you have become the calendar. Every enquiry needs you, so bookings only happen when you are looking at your phone, and someone wanting to book at ten at night either waits until morning or goes elsewhere.
What the demo shows
Available slots for the next five days. Taken slots are struck through and cannot be selected. Pick a free one, add a name, and it appears in the schedule with the fee. The utilisation percentage at the top is the number that tells you whether your day is actually full.
Note the lunch gap between 12:30 and 14:00. Real availability is not a uniform grid, and a booking tool that ignores that gets used once and abandoned.
What a real build adds
- A public page customers use themselves, which is the whole point. You share one link and stop being asked.
- Confirmation and reminder messages by WhatsApp or SMS. Reminders cut no shows substantially, and for most service businesses that alone pays for the build.
- Service durations that actually differ, so a 90 minute appointment blocks three slots rather than one.
- Your real working hours, including breaks, weekly patterns, holidays and days you simply block off.
- Multiple staff or rooms, with availability per person, if that is how you operate.
- Buffer time between appointments, because back to back scheduling collapses the first time anything runs over.
- Advance payment or a deposit, which reduces no shows more effectively than any reminder.
- Customer history, so a returning customer's details are already there.
The two numbers worth watching
Utilisation. If you are at 50 percent, the constraint on your revenue is demand, so the answer is marketing. If you are at 90 percent, the constraint is capacity, and the answer is pricing or hiring. Most owners guess at this and guess low.
No show rate. Usually invisible until measured, and usually higher than expected. Once you can see it, reminders and deposits become obviously worth doing rather than a matter of opinion.
An honest limitation
Self service booking suits businesses where slots are genuinely interchangeable. If every job needs a conversation first to work out what is actually required and how long it will take, a booking page will not fit, and a simple enquiry form with a callback is the better tool. Worth being clear about which of those you are before commissioning anything.
